New Hat!

Some of you may have seen a 25% off for students on ASOS a couple of weeks ago. This was the perfect opportunity for me to use my friends discount (got to be frugal =D) and get my overdue birthday present for my Dad, a jacket which he has been banging on about for months.

Well, whilst trolling the website to see if anything caught my eye I stubbled across this lovely beanie (unfortunately its no longer on their website -_-). I haven't ever really worn hats, of any kind, before but I thought this was the perfect time to try it. I was instantly drawn to the different coloured wools that it is made up of. It's so warm and is easy to wear for the days when you should have washed your hair but couldn't be bothered (I have them a lot!). It will go with a lot of outfits with the mixture of blue, green, grey, purple and red wool.

It was £10 originally but with my friends discount was £7.50, what a bargain!

The quality is really nice. I just hope that nothing bad happens to it when I wash it. I think this was a good step into experimenting with 'head wear'.

Here's to a warmer head! =)

Do any of you like wearing hats? Where have you bought them from?

How it Feels to Fly!

Strap Top - H&M | Top - New look | Jeans - Topshop | Shoes - M&S

This is such an over due post. I seem to be going out quite a bit lately, which I am totally loving. On Saturday I went out to Clapham with a few friends. It was absolutely freezing, as the recent weather is obviously displaying. With that in mind I wore my trusted Black Jeans to help stop the cold get to me. I tucked into it this leopard print top. I love this top, it's baggy yet flattering all at the same time. I felt like the outfit was missing something so I added this necklace which I got ages ago from New Look.

On the face I went for a bold lip…queue my now trusted Rimmle 107. I can't get enough of this colour! It's so flattering. If you want a full review click here. I just curled my hair with my straighteners and done.

I had a really good night out. In the past it's usually had to take a special occasion for me and my friends to get together and go on a night out, but I prefer going out on those random nights for no reason, just to shake your bum bum. I feel like I'm going backward, thought I would have been over all this by 25 but clearly not =) Makes me feel young either way!

Hope you're all having a good week! P.S Sorry about the poor quality pictures!

Lover of Light!

Top - Boohoo | Jeans - Primark | Boots - New Look
Eyes - Estee Lauder palette 'Gold'; NARS 'Surabaya'; Sleek palette 'Brown'; False Lash Effect Mascara | Cheeks - No 7 cream blush limited edition 'Blossoming Pink' | Lips - Revlon 'Peach'

Firstly I would like to say HELLO to all my new friends ('followers') that I have recently joined my blog after Sunday's #bbloggers chat on Twitter! It never ceases to amaze me how amazing this blogging community is, thank you!! =D

Now on to the post...Today I went to see my gorgeous sister-in-law (my cousins wife) 2 weeks before she is due to give birth. We both have been busy for a long time to meet up and finally we both have time for some tea and biscuits! I thought I'd just share my OOTD and FOTD.

Can you tell that I need a new camera, or a tripod! Excuse that faceless picture.

It was just a casual afternoon and I wanted to be comfortable. I recently got this jumper from Boohoo and I am in love! I was skeptical about the quality when buying it but loved the print, but when I got it I was so pleased! It's soooo soft and warm! Perfect for these colder months. I got mine in a size S/M and it's quite baggy on me, but that's what I like.

The boots are really old; like 2/3 years old, but they are a solid pair of boots. With a decent heel. I always prefer wearing heels when they are in the form of boots because you have more stability! No more tripping around!

I just went with a simple gold eye and a nude lip. Nothing too outrageous.

Hope you all had a chilled day!

Blue Jeans!

Top - Forever 21 | Jeans - ASOS | Boots - Aldo

Let me start by saying I've been splurging a little this week. I'm celebrating my birthday tonight (I'm soo excited) and in obvious fashion I was trying to find the right outfit for the night. I have now decided what dress I am going to wear (post will be up over the weekend) out of the three dress purchases I made. I also bought these Cobalt Blue jeans from ASOS! I am in love with this colour! It's so crisp and bright!

I had been eyeing these up for the past two/three months (not exaggerating) and they went down from £28 to £19.50 (unfortunately they have gone back up to the original price)! There was no way I was going to let that discount go after lusting after them for so long!

I was skeptical as to the sizing, but they fit perfectly. I wore them out yesterday and paired them with a chunky burnt orange knit. I didn't know what would go with them because they are so bright, but I think these two went well together.

I'm so excited about this weekend! Can't wait to share my birthday celebration pictures with you! =D

Hope you all have a good weekend!

Purple And Gold Birds!

Hello lovelies!! Hope you all have a good weekend! Just another quick outfit post this evening. It was another one of my friends birthdays last week so we went out to celebrate last night. Once again the weather was much to be desired but hey ho, we Brits get on with it, don't we!

Strap Top - H&M | Blouse - Primark | Jeans - Topshop | Shoes - M&S
L-R: Boots (Sale) | Boots (Old) | New Look (Old)
Base Colour: Nails Inc 'Oakley Street', on top: Models Own 'Gold Digger'

I'd just like to say thank you to my friend Wendy for taking these pictures on her swanky camera as we were rushing to leave. As I mentioned in one of earlier posts I went to the new Primark on the Tottenham Court Road. I bought this purple blouse with birds on it. It actually has buttons down the back of it (sorry no pic), they are black enamel ones with gold around them. It was a bargain at £10, I know I will be making use out of it.

I just wore gold jewellery with it. The arrow head necklace was from Miss Selfridges in the sale at £2. I don't remember the costs of the rings as they are old, except for the peace sign one, which was on sale at £2. And on my ears I wore triangle drop earrings from Forever 21 .

For my makeup I used MACs 'Amber Lights' all over the eye lids and used my Estee Lauder Palette and mixed the cranberry and deep purple together and used it on the outer 'V', pulling slightly toward the inner crease. I also dragged it underneath. Just blended it with a fluffy eye shadow brush so all the edges were smooth. Avon supershock liner on the 'tight line' and Bobbi Brown Gel Liner in Espresso Ink along the lash line. I used No.7 Extravagant Volume Mascara after I curled my lashes.

On my face I used my MAC Fix Fluid (NC 42), Bobbi Brown corrector (Dark Peach), MAC Studio Finish Concealer (NC42), MAC Satin Finish Foundation (NC42) as a highlighter, NARS 'Taos' on the cheeks, Bare Minerals Mineral Veil and on the lips my Revlon Lip Butter in 'Macaroon'.

I know my friend had an awesome time celebrating, next birthday is mine =O just a month to go!

Anywho…Hope you all have a wonderful week! =D

Dancing In The Rain!

The next two months are going to be super duper busy for me with birthdays, catch ups and seasonal occasions (Halloween & Diwali). But I love it, I get to see all my favourite people, have some laughs and eat loads! =D

I started off this ghostly month of October by going out for a friends 25th last night. It wasn't anything big, just went to a club in my local town. The poor birthday boy was so tired he didn't want to dance or drink at the beginning of the night. I felt bad but of course he picked up his spirits and in no time we were all boogieing on down (people still say that right?!).

Just wanted to share what I wore with you lovely people and what my face looked like =)

Top (Tunic/Dress) - ASOS (Old) | Belt - ASOS | Skirt - Miss Selfridges | Tights - M&S (60 Denier) | Shoes - M&S Limited collection

Nails - Barry M Red Black (NP115) | Rings - can't remember, sorry! | Bracelet - Gift

Eyes: MUA Palette in Heaven and Earth | MAC shadows Tempted & Romp | Bobbi Brown Gel eye liner in Espresso Ink | No 7 Extravagant Volume Mascara
Lips: Maxfactor lip liner in Fire | MAC Viva Glam I | Revlon super lustrous lipstick in Black Cherry
Cheeks: Sleek contour Kit in Medium

I loved this lip and it lasted all night without reapplying! That deserves a thumbs up!! =D

I prefer matte lips personally, I find glossy lips have too much movement and that's just asking for a lipstick on cheek or teeth situation, not cool!

I curled my hair using the BaByliss conical wand and just clipped it back to stay out of my face.

Today is going to consist of lazying around the house...just what I need! Hope you're all having a gorgeous weekend!! =D

Recently purchased – Clothing!

I’m on a roll with these posts ay?! I have to keep it up! As promised from earlier posts, here are my recent clothing purchases. It’s only a few so I didn’t go over board. I did try and take pictures of me wearing the items but it wasn’t happening. So sorry but you’re stuck with pictures of them on hangers.

Here is my jacket from Pull & Bear (size S) from the sale. I originally bought a dress from the sale for £19.99 but it was too tight around my bust…fail! So I went to exchange it or get a refund and this jacket caught my eye. I don’t have anything like it. It’s a bit biker chick but not black or leather. The tag said £29.99, so I was willing to pay that extra £10 for it, but to my surprise when I went to the till to exchange the dress the jacket had been reduced further! Yay! Don’t you just love it when that happens!

Next up are my items from H&M. The two jumpers are the same style and material but they are just so comfortable and easy to chuck on I wanted both. I really like the purple one because it has black woven in with it. They were £7.99 each. So not expensive, especially knowing that I will be wearing them all the time.

The last thing I bought from H&M was this floral print razor back top. It’s long enough that it covers my bum so I can wear it with jeggings. This can be dressed up or down so really looking forward to wearing this. This again was £7.99.

Hope you all have a good week! =) x
