After much debating, oh'ing and ah'ing I finally took the plunge and bought the Origins Drink Up intensive Mask (I say bought, I used my Boots Advantage Points). I think this is my first skin care product that I was really unsure of. After much read hype provided by many well respected and trusted beauty 'guru's', I was still in two minds about whether to buy this product or not, mainly because I forget to put on face masks. But with my points burning a hole in my purse I thought this is the best way to try out this product without feeling guilty. And oh boy am I glad I did!
Product:
The texture is like a smooth thick paste that you slather onto your skin before you go to sleep and leave it on, yes leave it on. You do not rinse this baby off. Any excess that maybe sitting on your skin is to be wiped away by a tissue and then it's time for you to hit the hay.
It turns clear once massaged into the skin and it's got a pleasant apricot smell to it. It's not offensive.
Results:
I don't know what I was looking for when trying this especially when my skin is oily, but this puts the plumpness back into the skin without it causing your skin to produce oils. It's odd going to sleep with this on I have to say, I was so aware of putting my face on my pillow; and for someone who sleeps face front it's definitely hard. When this is washed off I definitely felt that my skin was softer, like a lot softer. It's mostly absorbed by the morning, if you've put on a little bit too much then you can still feel the tackiness of it. If you have dry skin, I would definitely recommend this baby. Makeup definitely applies better after having used this. I tend to use this the day after I have exfoliated, this gives the best results for myself.
Price:
£20 for 100ml - I think it's definitely worth the money.
Overall I think this is a great product. I would even go as far to say that I would repurchase this. If you haven't tried this I urge you to go and try this.
Have any of you tried this? What do you think of it?
